The Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF) supports world-class Canadian health care by raising funds to advance nursing knowledge and research, and by recognizing professional merit in Canada’s nurses. For over 50 years, this organization has helped nurses learn, investigate and advance nursing best practices.
They improve the delivery of health care in Canada by investing in nursing excellence that drives better patient care. They provide deserving nursing students and nurses with the financial support they need to pursue their educational goals. Their grants and scholarships range in dollar value and are awarded to new nursing students as they enter the profession and assist nursing leaders to pursue their education at the Masters and PhD levels.
They strive for excellence that advances nursing knowledge in support of world-class Canadian health care while helping to cultivate the next generation of nurses to excel as clinicians, researchers, educators and scholars.
CNF has taken the initiative to support Indigenous nursing. They plan to raise one million in one year to support Indigenous nursing, with a focus on education, research and mentorship. These initiatives will increase the knowledge, skills, and abilities of Indigenous nurses to help meet current and future health care challenges.
